Employment

Working at Glastonbury Child & Family Services

Glastonbury is a vibrant community service organisation which provides innovative, high quality services for children and young people.  We work in partnership with families and the community to build on strengths to achieve both individual and social change.

We are a people focussed organisation and value our positive work culture and healthy work environment.  We place great emphasis on creating a happy and friendly work environment for our staff.  We conduct an annual staff survey and use the outcomes of this survey to guide our way forward.

Staff are kept informed of all major developments and participate in a range of internal committees and working groups as well as attending staff meetings.  Staff also actively participate in networks, committees and other sector activities.

We offer monthly in-house training for all staff on a range of topics, as well as other specialist training as required.  Staff also access external training and participate in conferences, forums and other professional development activities.  We conduct annual performance appraisals which identify professional development and training activities for the year.

We have an active Social Committee that arranges staff functions and we participate in charity events in the community, including the Barwon Banks Fun Run and Corporate Rowing.  As well as informal staff gatherings, we hold a mid-year and end of year staff lunch, have an active Footy Tipping competition, regularly celebrate birthdays and have developed a range of other initiatives particularly related to health and wellbeing which are listed separately on our webpage.

Finally, we offer above award salaries and allowances and outstanding employment conditions, including;
